RFQ: Building Addition to Kings Mtn. Middle
The Cleveland County Board of Education is seeking proposals from qualified architectural firms for the design of a new instructional/classroom building at Kings Mountain Middle School. This additional building would include (at minimum) 12 additional classrooms, student and staff restrooms, and administrative offices. Upon review of proposals received in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), the Cleveland County Board of Education anticipates awarding a single contract for the services required.
A new classroom wing is needed at Kings Mountain Middle School due to increased enrollment, the age and condition of some of the district’s classroom space, and potential reorganization in the Kings Mountain attendance zone. This additional classroom space would need to be connected to the existing main building and would include 12-14 additional classrooms, bathrooms, and office areas.
Key Dates and Project Schedule
- Accept RFQs through September 15, 2023
- Firm selection no later than November 13, 2023
- Approximate project bid date is Spring of 2024
Proposal Format
A written, electronic proposal must be submitted in the outlined format. Each proposal will be reviewed to determine if it is complete prior to actual evaluation. A total of one (1) paper copy and one (1) electronic copy of the written proposal shall be submitted.
