During an evening of heroic proportions, students were recognized for exhibiting qualities of courage and strength of character during the Carl DeBrew Heroes program at the LeGrand Center.

This event was made possible by Laughlin Furniture Outlet," said Greg Shull of Cleveland County Schools. "We cannot thank them enough for their continued support. Additionally, we appreciate Ben Cabaniss and Jennifer Laughlin Cabaniss for leading the recognition ceremony and honoring our deserving Heroes.”

Selected by their respective schools for their heroic successes, the students have either overcome adversities or have provided extraordinary assistance to others. Thanks to the CCS Educational Foundation and Laughlin Furniture Outlet, each Hero received a personalized t-shirt, a medallion, a certificate of recognition, and a drawstring backpack filled with fun trinkets.

"We would like to also thank Jamey Davis and Dr. George Litton of the Educational Foundation for their assistance with this wonderful event,” added Shull.
