Years of Service with CCS:

I worked for Kidz Around for four years. This is my fourth year as a licensed teacher at Casar Elementary School.

Education:

I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University.

What Taylor Loves Most About Her Job:

One thing I love most about teaching is the relationships I build with my students throughout the years. These relationships begin inside my classroom but continue even after they move on to other grades. Seeing their smiling faces as they run up to give me a hug and share all the new things they have accomplished is the best feeling. They know I care and that I am always rooting for them. Witnessing their growth—both academically and personally—even after they leave my classroom warms my heart. These moments serve as my reminder of "Why I Teach."

Favorite Memory from Working at CCS:

My favorite memory from working at CCS is being recognized as the Beginning Teacher of the Year for CCS in 2023.

Something Unique About Taylor:

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. During my own time in elementary school, I sometimes struggled academically, and I knew I wanted to make a difference for children who, like me, faced challenges. I wanted to help them succeed and not feel discouraged when they made mistakes.

Through the highs and lows of life, I became the first person in my immediate family to graduate from college, earning my Elementary Education degree in four years. I am honored to work with the students and incredible staff at Casar Elementary School. Every day, I strive to motivate and support our students and to foster growth and positivity within our school community.

Hobbies and Interests:

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and God. My favorite activities include being outdoors, camping, reading, watching my two boys play baseball, and hunting.
