At the annual Outstanding Educators event held at the Venue at Turkey Ridge, Dr. Dustin Bridges of Township Three Elementary was named Principal of the Year.

The two runner-up finalists for Principal of the Year included Jennifer Blanton of Jefferson Elementary and Dr. Kim Greene of Fallston Elementary. Each received $250 from David and Marie Brinkley.

“It is an incredible honor to be named principal of the year,” said Bridges. “We have outstanding school leaders in Cleveland County Schools—and I am grateful to be a part of a school system that is focused on cultivating excellence.”

Bridges received a yearlong membership to the YMCA, a beautiful glass award commemorating the recognition, and $3,000 from David and Marie Brinkley.

"Dr. Bridges is so deserving of such an esteemed recognition,” said Greg Shull, local Principal of the Year program coordinator. “It is an honor to work at his side and I look forward to the many great experiences he will provide and lead for many years to come.”
