School Counselors are master's level trained and certified school personnel who develop (in consultation with school administrators and staff) and deliver a school counseling program. This program:
Helps students develop competencies in the academic, career, and personal/social domains
Delivers services through the following components:
- School Guidance Curriculum based on the North Carolina Comprehensive School Counseling Standard Course of Study

- Responsive Services
- Individual and small-group counseling
