East and Jefferson Elementary schools have been named - No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Schools. That we operate 173 buses and they travel 9393 miles per day which equates to 1,690,740 miles per year. And that our 33 activity buses traveled over 145,000 miles or the equivalent of 30 trips across the US and back. By the way our yellow buses would have made 341 round trips across the US. This past year our child nutrition staff prepared and served over 3 million meals. Over 2.2 million were lunches. That included over 300,000 cookies and 1.9 million cartons of milk.
