Prerequisite:  Students must be advanced English students to take the course in 9th grade.

DESCRIPTION:  Level one concentrates on the development of an understand­ing of root words and learning to read and write the language.  The culture and the development of the language will be explored with a major emphasis on vocabulary devel­opment
