The Model UN class at Shelby Middle School is involved in many endeavors this year. We are learning about the different councils that make up the United Nations. This year we will be participating in the 8th Annual International Middle School Model UN Conference in New York City. We will be debating and writing resolutions about such topics as: Global Arms Trade Treaty, Access to Medication, Gender and Science, Maritime Safety and Child Protection from Violence, Exploitation and Abuse. We will also be focusing on giving back to the community with different projects each month.
