BUS RIDERS:

Students who ride the bus will load and unload in the area designated specifically for the buses. For the safety of the students, only buses are allowed in this area. Students will go directly to their classrooms in the mornings and directly to the buses in the afternoon. The primary purpose of school buses is to transport students from home to school and return safely. To accomplish this purpose, a discipline plan will be enforced on the buses.

The following rules must be followed.

1. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself and inside the bus.

2. Remain seated unless given permission to move by the driver.

3. No eating, spitting, drinking,use of tobacco,drugs or alcohol.

4. No radios, tape players, Walkman's, toys, Pokemon cards/items, Gameboys, or other electronic devices

5. No pushing, shoving, slapping, hitting, property damage, tampering with the bus, throwing objects on or from the bus, displaying of sharp or potentially sharp objects.

6. Obey the bus driver at all times

CONSEQUENCES:

1. First reported incident: 10 day seat assignment and parent contact.

2. Second reported incident: 3 day suspension from the bus and parent conference

3. Third reported incident: 6 day suspension from the bus and parent conference.

4. Severe Clause: if a student causes severe disruptive behavior or repeated referrals, the principal or assistant may suspend the student from the bus for any length of time. This action will replace any other stated consequences.

Permission To Ride A Different Bus

If a student is to ride a different bus or the same bus, but get off at a different location, a WRITTEN REQUEST including the following information must be provided:

1. Students name

2. Bus number student is to ride

3. Students destination

4. Date student is to ride the bus

5. Signature of parent or guardian

6. Name of the students teacher

We expect written permission for your child to change his way of going home except in emergency situations. A student WILL NOT be allowed to make a change to a different bus.
