Successful Seven Scientific Method

1.  Read carefully any titles, subheadings, or introductory paragraphs and underline important details.

*2.  Read carefully only the questions, (not the answer choices) underlining important details.

3.  Read the selection CAREFULLY and underline only important details.

4.  Go back in the selection and scan for information that supports the correct answer. (PROVE IT!)

5.  Write the question number beside the answer in the selection and circle it.

*6. Read the questions and put a "dot" beside the possibilities and an "X" over answers that are definitely incorrect.

*7. Always look back over your answers to make sure you picked the best one.

* These strategies can be used with Math E.O.G. questions also.

1. Purpose: What do you want to learn?

2. Research: Find out as much about your topic as you can.

3. Hypothesis: Predict the answer to the problem.

4. Experiment: Design a test to confirm or disprove your hypothesis.

5. Analysis: Record what happened during the experiment.

6. Conclusion: Was your hypothesis correct?
