School Philosophy

The faculty and staff of Kings Mountain Intermediate School believe all children can learn. Children learn best when they are given a supportive, caring environment that develops self-esteem, self-motivation, and a sense of responsibility. This setting provides students the opportunity to develop the strong academic foundation necessary to become lifelong learners.
We strive to prepare students to become productive, responsible, and law-abiding members of society. Self-respect and respect for others are major components of our Character Education Plan. Promoting good character is a cooperative effort between the school, the home, and the community.
