News and Announcements:

Science Stems quiz is given each week.  Students should study the new stems for the week and the previous stems.  There are ten on the quiz each week. 

Homework may be given Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.  In addition to assigned homework, work not finished in class will be assigned as homework to complete. 

Tests will be given at the completion of study for each chapter.

Homework Assignments:

Each week study for Science Stems quiz.  Each student records the list of stems for the week into their notes.  The stems will generally support what topics we are studying.     

 Science textbooks are not assigned to students.  Students may check out a science book overnight from Mrs. Nolen.  (Please be mindful that if book is not returned a $56.80 fine will be assigned to the student for the lost book.)

I live in the Crest Middle School community.  I am married and have two children that attend Springmore Elementary and Crest High School.  This will be my fifth year teaching at Crest Middle.  Prior to coming to CMS, I taught at Burns High School. 

I am a graduate of UNC Charlotte.  I earned my Masters of Arts in Education from East Carolina.  I received my National Board Teaching Certification in November of 2008!

There is no EOG for 7th grade science. However, the knowledge that you gain in 7th grade science will help you next year in 8th grade.  You will take an EOG for science in 8th grade.  We will start this year preparing you for success in 8th grade and beyond!
