	Swordfish Team STUDENTS--Besure you are working on your AR goals for the 2nd Nine Weeks. The cutoff for the 2nd Nine Weeks will be January 11, 2010!!! Details of the REWARD will be announced this week.


	Important Dates:

	November 19--3rd Block--Book Project Due November 25-27--Thanksgiving Holiday January 11, 2010--AR Cut Off 1st & 2nd Block=20 points 3rd Block=25 points


		Homework Assignments:

	Daily Assignments: Spelling Words and definitions are available on the downloads at the bottom of the webpage. Monday, November 16--Reading Log written in Planner. Students should include the book read, the pages, the time spent reading, and parent's signature. Wednesday, November 18--All Block--Spelling Seek 'N' Find Due. 3rd Block--Wordskills, Unit 5, Parts C & D Thursday, November 19--All Blocks--STEMS Word Test--20 stems and definitions Thursday, November 19--3rd Block--Book Project Due ---Lost your assignment sheet? See the download at the bottom of the page. Friday, November 20--All Blocks--EOG Words test 3rd Block--SAT Words Test. Weekly Assignments: Reading Logs -- Be sure to read at least 2 hours every weeks for 1st & 2nd Block; 2 hours for 3rd block. Students must record the title of the book, page numbers read, and time read in their planner. Planners will be checked every Monday. AR Points -- 1st & 2nd Block--20 AR points 3rd Block --25 AR Points Spelling Work (All block)-Due every Wednesday Workskills (3rd block) - Due every Wednesday Library (All Blocks)--Every other Tuesday Computer Lab (All Blocks)--Every Wednesday

	Fun Brain Funbrain allows you to take a grammar test. So you can pracite learning the parts of speech. Grammar Quiz Softschools gives grammar quizzes on the parts of speech. There is an excellent quiz to practice learning your prepositions. Good Luck!!!
