	Swordfish Team New Book Orders today--Book Orders will be due on March 16. Progress Report will be sent home on Monday, March 8th. Please look over your child's Language Arts printout.


	Important Dates:

	March 2--Library Day March 19--Snow Day Make-up March 19--3rd Block--Poetry Booklets Due--Follow directions on handout--See attached download March 22, 2010--AR Cut off for 3rd Nine Weeks 1st & 2nd--20 points 3rd -- 25 points


		Homework Assignments:

	Daily Assignments: Spelling Words and definitions are available on the downloads at the bottom of the webpage. Tuesday, March 9 Poem Worksheet--All blocks--Students remember to read your poem outloud and get your parent's signature. Wednesday, March 10 Block 1st & 2nd--Do 5 Wordpuzzles with any 5 words and write sentences with the other 5 words. Block 3--Write sentences will all 15 words. Do Wordskills, Unit 10, C & D, and Speaking Pg. 130. Friday, March 12--All Blocks--Stems & EOG Words Test Weekly Assignments: Reading Logs -- Be sure to read at least 2 hours every weeks for 1st & 2nd Block; 2 hours for 3rd block. Students must record the title of the book, page numbers read, and time read in their planner. Planners will be checked every Monday. AR Points -- 1st & 2nd Block--20 AR points 3rd Block --25 AR Points Spelling Work (All block)-Due every Wednesday Workskills (3rd block) - Due every Wednesday Library (All Blocks)--Every other Tuesday Computer Lab (All Blocks)--Every Wednesday

	Fun Brain Funbrain allows you to take a grammar test. So you can pracite learning the parts of speech. Grammar Quiz Softschools gives grammar quizzes on the parts of speech. There is an excellent quiz to practice learning your prepositions. Good Luck!!!
