During the week of June 7-9, students will continue to explore the six types of SIMPLE MACHINES.  They will also learn about COMPOUND MACHINES and how combining two or more simple machines together can make work easier and more efficient.

It has truly been a pleasure to teach the Mustang students this year.  I hope that each one has further developed an appreciation for science and the ways that scientists use inquiry to learn more about the world around them.

This site is full of animated activities that support the 7th grade science curriculum. Examine evidence and calculate forces at a crash scene, be a surgeon and perform a virtual hip and/or knee replacement, travel through Ed's home to locate simple and compound machines, and serve as a meteorologist intern who reports and predicts the weather. Students LOVE this site!
