The Yearbook Staff is currently working on the theme idea for the 2010 yearbook, though you won't know what it is until May! They are also learning layout and design and have started uploading photos that they've taken that will be added to the pages they are working on. They will be writing stories and captions for their spreads this week.
Art students have just finished their grid portraits. They used the grid technique to help them understand the proportions of the head and face. They colored each individual square of their grid in which their portrait is drawn so that their finished portraits look similar to a Chuck Close portrait painting.
The upper grades are beginning to work on their tessellations, a repeating pattern that creates an optical illusion.
