Crest Middle School includes students in grades six through eight. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of young adolescents and bridge the gap between elementary and high school by providing our students with an opportunity to learn in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
Literacy and mathematics are emphasized at the middle school level. Student academic growth is regularly measured and lessons are modified to meet the needs of each.
In addition to the core academic classes of Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies, elective classes help students discover their individual talents. CMS offers a variety of elective classes including Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Art, Spanish, Health & Physical Education, and Career / Technical Education (CTE). Career/Technical Education works to prepare the students for high school and careers beyond. Students explore the world of work through various classes including Career Decisions, Exploring Biotechnology, Keyboarding, Exploring Technology Systems, and Business Computer Technology.
Extra curricular activities include a wide variety of clubs such as science olympiad, environmental club, battle of the books, etc. CMS also fields several very successful sports teams with softball, soccer, football, golf, tennis, cheerleading, just to name a few.
