Our Career Day was a huge success. Thanks to all the businesses that came out to support our school and share their expertise.  View Career Day Slide Show

An informational meeting was held at Crest Middle to help parents understand the new NC curriculum in every core subject area that began with the  2012-13 school year (Common Core and Essential Standards).  If you were unable to attend, please click the link for information about  understanding your child's test scores. Classes begin at 8:00 am.

Our day ends at 3:00 pm.
*1st load bus riders exit at 2:55
*Car riders exit at 2:57
*2nd load bus riders exit at 3:00

Reminder to Parents concerning MORNING drop off times:

For their safety please do not drop students off before 7:30 am. At that time the doors are opened and school personnel take up duty positions in front of the building.

Reminder to Parents concerning pick up times:

No student will be released from school between 2:30 p.m. and the end of the day. We have seen an increase in parents checking out students at the end of the day. This disrupts instruction in the student's last period and creates inefficiency in the office. Obviously, you will have emergencies from time to time, but please make every effort not to schedule appointments that will force you to check out your child during the time mentioned. We are trying to make sure your child gains valuable instruction, and we want to keep things running smoothly here at school. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Student Enrollment Information:
Proof of Residence must be presented at registration.  We must have three proofs of residence.  Examples of Proof of Residence include power, water, or telephone bill showing physical address, rental agreement showing physical address, mortgage closing papers with signature page.  (PO Boxes nor Cell Phone bills will not be accepted.)  * Proof of Residence MUST be in parent or legal guardian's name. We will also need a report card from your previous school, IEP/504 if appropriate, birth certificate, and immunizations records.

Check for Homework:
Don't forget that if you need to find out what homework has been assigned by your child's teachers you can call our homework hotline at 704-487-0378 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 am.  Your child should know the team code or you can get it from our website by going to the "Programs" menu and choosing "Academics" and then your grade level. You can also check that individual teacher's web page.

If you have any suggestions, questions, or concerns, we would love to hear them.  Just email the webmaster.
