North Carolina Governor's School is the oldest statewide summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students. The program is open to rising seniors only (current juniors), with exceptions made for rising juniors (current sophomores) in choral music, dance, and instrumental music areas. Eligible students must meet aptitude/achievement criteria.
The program is on the campuses of Salem College and Meredith College and runs from June 16--July 20, 2013. Students selected for Governor's School are expected to attend the entire session.
Students interested in seeking nomination for Governor's School should see Mrs. Francis in the guidance office by Friday, October 5.
