Bachelor of Science in Social Studies, Appalachian State. MA in School Administration from Gardner Webb University.
Principal of Crest High since 2002.
I've never worked at another school. I began my career as a student teacher from Appalachian State in the fall of 1976. Soon after graduation I came to work at Crest High as the first ISS Director. I soon moved to the social studies department and taught psychology, US History, civics, and a number of other courses over the years. On March 6, 2000 I was appointed an assistant principal by Crest Principal Roger McSwain. A year and a half later, on July 1, 2002, Superintendent Gene Moore appointed me principal of Crest High School.
