Guidance:

The ASVAB will be given Friday, September 26th. Any Juniors or Seniors interested in signing up see Mrs. Clontz in guidance.

Club News:

Last year’s Youth Legislature members will meet today at 3:15 in Trailer 7. This meeting will last no more than 30 minutes. (4)

CYC (Committed Young Christians) will begin meeting tomorrow morning at 7:15 in room 341. Everyone is welcome. Food is provided. (4)

The first Key Club meeting will be Monday, Sept 8th from 3:15 -4pm. Key Club is open to all students. Those wishing to join will need $15 for dues. Membership is open through the month of September. (4,5)

Young Life will meet Monday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 at the club house near the apartments at GWU. (4,5)

Athletics

The volleyball team is having a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Friday at 5:00 pm. There will also be a Silent Auction in addition to the Spaghetti Supper. Items will be available in the back room of the library on Friday for staff to place bids. The auction will continue throughout the Spaghetti Supper and will be closed around 7:00 pm. If you would like to purchase Spaghetti Supper tickets for Friday evening see Coach Medicus or one of the players. Please come help the Lady Chargers raise money to purchase a new net system. (4,5)

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Volleyball team on their victory over Burns. Way to send those dogs back to the pound! Please release the volleyball team at 2:30 today for their away match at North Gaston. Best of luck, Lady Chargers.

Other:

Any student signed up for Honors Spanish 3 next semester should come by Mrs. Tobin's room, TR10, before the end of the week. (4,5)

Underclassmen photos will be taken this Friday in the library. In homeroom you will receive a picture order form. Your homeroom teacher will let you know when to go to the library for your pictures. (4,5)

Senior make up photos will be held in the theater this Friday. Your homeroom teacher will give you a reminder slip with your assigned time. (4,5)

'09 Graduates: If you did not get a senior picture taken and did not receive a make up reminder card with your appointment time on it yesterday or today in homeroom, you need to see Ms. Wagner or Ms. Altman TODAY during 6th or 7th period if you want to be included in the yearbook senior section. (4)

The Health Center will be closed today. (4)
