In their 9th grade year early college students will take high school honors level English 1, Algebra !, as well as Physical and Earth Science classes. In addition, they will take college level academic skills, physical/health education and art/music classes.

Cleveland Early College High School students will actively engage in research based classroom instruction designed to build their capacity to think critically, to problem solve, and to work with peers. A strong emphasis will be placed on content application and project based learning.

All Cleveland Early College High School students have the same core subject testing and high school graduation requirements of other high school students in North Carolina.
