The Burns Middle School Lady Eagles defeated Kings Mountain Monday 7-1 to clinch the Tri-County Conference East Division Championship. Leading scorers were Ashley Boling, Josie Rikard, and Keily Bridges with two goals apiece and Kelsey Gingles with one goal. Ashley Boling had two assists, Josie Rikard and Mary Fogleman each had one assist. Good defensive play by Alisa McConnell, Abigale Patten, Savannah Honeycutt, and Jenna Pharr as well as Cassie Waters in the goal. The Lady Eagles record now stands at 8-1.
