Burns Middle School is proud to announce the classified employee of the year as Sherwood Brown.  Brown has been working at BMS for 9 years and head custodian for 5 years.  He was voted by his peers as the employee of the year because he is dedicated to doing a good job.  Brown spends endless hours before school starts cleaning the facility as well as completing maintenance.  He has been a part of the Burns community all of his life. He has two sons, Josh and Sherwin, both played football for Burns High.  Josh graduated from NC State and Sherwin from Lenoir Rhyne.
