School Information

Nestled in the foothills, Burns High School is one of four high schools located in Cleveland County. Burns was founded in 1967 and named for David William Burns, an educator noted for his work in the history of the Upper Cleveland County community. Today, Burns is a school which offers many opportunities for its students in both academics and extracurricular activities.

Directions

  • Directions from the East (Charlotte-Gastonia area)

  • Take highway 74 west to the Business 74 - Moss Lake exit in Kings Mountain. Turn right.

  • At the stop light at the Oak Grove Rd intersection, go straight.

  • At the next stop light (Waco), go straight.

  • At the stop sign, this road intersects with highway 182. Turn left.
