Elizabeth staff members leave school puzzled - 24,000 pieces!

Elizabeth School staff
members and puzzlers
Meda Dixon, Melody
Gamble and Christy
McPeak (from left) show
off their latest - and
greatest - jigsaw creation,
LIFE - The Great Challenge,
that hangs on a wall in the school lobby area. At 24,000 pieces and 14 feet by 5 feet, LIFE is listed as the world's largest commercial jigsaw puzzle in the Guinness World Records.

The three co-workers have completed many other puzzles that are framed and hang in the library and office area of the school. They began putting LIFE - The Great Challenge together last spring each working separately at home on a vertical section panel and collaborating on the fourth panel. Framing materials and the wooden peg board were donated by Lowe's. The Elizabeth PTO was a big supporter of the project. Bill McCarter framed the puzzle and school maintenance assisted the three in hanging the completed puzzle.
