High School Teaching Positions

Cleveland Early College High School is seeking qualified Science teaching applicants for the Fall of 2008. CECHS students will engage in a rigorous academic program
that provides selected students the opportunity to graduate in five years with a high school
diploma and an Associate’s Degree from Cleveland Community College (or two years of transferable
college credit). CECHS teachers must have mastery of their core subject, demonstrated success at
teaching students with diverse learning needs, strong interpersonal skills, the ability and desire
to work with other teachers to develop and deliver interdisciplinary units of study, and have
experience and competency using instructional technology to teach. CECHS teachers will work in the
community college environment, and will be expected to engage with community college faculty and
staff. CECHS teachers will plan together, tutor and support students outside of classroom
instruction, participate in student social activities and be committed to their own professional growth as
it relates to innovative teaching in the early college environment. Attendance at the Summer Institute
(June 23-26, 2008) will be required.
