The North Carolina High School Athletic Association announced that Kings Mountain and Shelby high schools were ejection free in athletic contests during the 2013-14 school year.

The guidelines record ejections for unsportsmanlike acts such as fighting, taunting, profanity, obscene gestures or disrespectfully addressing or contacting officials.

"Good sportsmanship is extremely important in all athletic contests in our schools," says Dr. Brian Hunnell, CCS Athletics Director and Administrative Services Director.  "We strongly believe all four of our traditional high schools strive to compete at a high level, with sportsmanship, integrity, and school pride in mind."
