Crest High, Shelby Middle will have new principals next year

  • Dr. Dustin Bridges, principal at Washington Elementary, has been named as the next principal of Shelby Middle replacing Tim Quattlebaum, who is retiring. A graduate of Western Carolina University, Dr. Bridges earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from Gardner-Webb University. He taught English at Crest for more than five years before being promoted to assistant principal at Crest Middle in 2008-09. He served as an assistant principal at Crest High during 2012-13 and as principal at Washington Elementary from 2013-15. Dr. Bridges is a National Board Certified educator. 
  • Holly Robinson, principal at Cleveland Early College High, will become the next principal at Crest High. Mrs. Robinson is a graduate of Clemson University and earned her master’s degree in school administration from Gardner-Webb University. She taught at Kings Mountain High, East Elementary, and Kings Mountain Middle schools before going to the Early College as an English teacher. She was promoted to assistant principal at Shelby Middle in 2010-11 and worked there for two years.  She then served as an assistant principal for a year at Crest High before returning to the Early College as principal.
  • Tamara Goforth, principal at Boiling Springs Elementary, has been named as the next Director of Elementary Education. At the beginning of her career, Mrs. Goforth taught at Jefferson and Marion elementaries. She served as an assistant principal at Marion Elementary for five years until her recent principalship at Boiling Springs Elementary. 
Principals will soon be named for Cleveland Early College as well as Boiling Springs and Fallston elementaries.
