The Shelby High School Orchestra was selected as the 2015 NCMEA Clinic Orchestra at the annual in-service conference in Winston Salem. North Carolina' music educators attend the conference to each year to earn continuing education credits in their respective areas, and to hear performances by renowned ensembles.
The performance clinic portion of the conference is used as an opportunity for fellow music educators to listen to high quality performances, this time by the Shelby High School Orchestra.
"This was a great opportunity to showcase the many talents of our Shelby High students," said John Champney, Shelby High Director of Orchestral Studies. "The level of difficulty of the music, the length of the program, and the audience filled with music educators, challenged our students more than any other program to this point."
