posted Mar 3, 2016, 12:14 PM by Greg Shull

Cleveland County Schools just completed two full days of Elementary Battle of the Books competitions. Seventeen teams converged at CCS Central Services to find of who would advance to the final round.

Battle of the Books (eBOB) is a quiz-style challenge, where students are asked questions about 24 books. All questions begin with “in which book” and answers are always the title of the books, with an extra point given if the author name is provided.

First Day Results:
  • 1st – Casar Elementary
  • 2nd – Springmore Elementary
  • 3rd – Township Three Elementary
Second Day Results:
  • 1st – Washington Elementary
  • 2nd – Marion Elementary
  • 3rd – Kings Mountain Intermediate
These six teams, along with two wildcard teams will return to Central Services on March 17 to determine which school will earn the right to call themselves the 2016 eBOB Champion.
