East Elementary students lead Pledge at Feb. 9 Board of Ed. Meeting

Every Cleveland County Schools Board of Education meeting begins with the Pledge of Allegiance – This time led by five of East's students.

Kindergartener Elijah Perry, First Grader Kensen Martin, Second Grader Lilly Mae Phillips, Third Grader Melissa Brooks, and Fourth Grader Nevaeh Boyd opened the Feb. 9 Board of Education meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

The students all shared a few words about how much they enjoy East Elementary School.  The specifically made mention about how they appreciate the school's teachers and staff.

Each student received a certificate of appreciation for their participation.
