2015 American Heart Association's Middle School HeART Contest

This year, 90 middle school students from across Cleveland County entered the 2015 American Heart Association’s Middle School HeART Contest. Students created original posters that demonstrated how to have a healthy happy heart. This year’s corporate sponsor was Wells Fargo. Winning artwork will be featured in their branches in Cleveland County and surrounding areas. The artwork will also be used by the American Heart Association for various publications.

The winner and three finalists are all students from Mrs. Breen’s art class at Burns Middle School! On May 7th Wells Fargo and the American Heart Association representatives presented awards to the students at Burns Middle.


The awards were as follows:

First Place: Morgan Walker, Sixth Grade

Morgan received a gift card to purchase new running shoes and a jump rope.

Finalist: Tomas Padilla, Sixth Grade

Morgan Stout, Sixth Grade

Austin Walker, Seventh Grade
