CCS Work History
I attended West Elementary, Central School, KM Junior High and KM High School. I began teaching in 1995 at Kings Mountain High in the Exceptional Children Program teaching Earth Science and Algebra I. I transferred to Kings Mountain Middle the next year to teach Health and Physical Education, and I have been there 21 years. Along with my teaching duties, I have also coached multiple sports such as baseball, boys and girls basketball, football, and golf. I am currently coaching golf, girls basketball, and baseball.

I graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education with an endorsement in Physical Education and Science.

My wife of 20 years is Amanda, and she works for Dr. Mockaitis Orthodontist. I have a 9th-grade daughter, Makena, who is in the KMHS band and plays volleyball and softball. I have a 6th-grade son, Camden, who is in the band and plays basketball and baseball.

What do you like best about your school/work location?
Every day presents itself with new challenges in working with middle school students. Kings Mountain is a great place to live and work. After all - it is the Center of the Universe.

If you could give students one piece of advice, what would it be and why?
Turn their life over to Jesus Christ and stay focused on doing God's will instead of their will - and give him the praise and glory for all things.

Why is Cleveland County Schools special to you?
CCS has given me the opportunity to have an impact on students and athletes and to help shape their future as well as our community.
