CCS Work History

I attended Union Elementary, Burns Middle School and graduated from Burns High in 2005. I was a Title I Teacher at James Love Elementary for three years and served as an interim teacher at Casar Elementary for a year. This will be my third year teaching at Burns Middle.

Education
I earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University.

Family
Many of my family members are teachers in Cleveland County Schools as well. I have three dog-children and a pet pot belly pig!

What do you like best about your school/work location?

I love working at Burns Middle because it is where I attended middle school. I also get to work with the best students, teachers, administrators, and staff in Cleveland County!

If you could give students one piece of advice, what would it be and why?

My advice would be to READ as much as you can. Reading can take you anywhere you want to go and can open your mind to endless possibilities.

Why is Cleveland County Schools special to you?

Because it is home!
