CCS Work History
I was a student at Gardner-Webb University, student taught at CMS, and was hired the following school year. I am currently in my 29th year at Crest Middle School.

Family
I am originally from Greenville, South Carolina. Most of my family lives in Greenville. I have two nieces that I consider my own. One is a sophomore in college, and the other is a senior in high school. I am blessed to have a great family, and they are extremely important to me.

Education
I have a BS in Mathematics Education (6-9) and a Masters (Administration); Both from Gardner-Webb University.

What do you like best about your school/work location?
Crest Middle has been a great place to work. We are a family and are invested in one another. We have a common goal of providing the best education for each young person who walks through our doors. We collectively do our jobs and do it with great effort.

If you could give students one piece of advice, what would it be and why?
"Hard Work Pays Off" is advice I give all my students. I try to demonstrate hard work every single day and try to inspire my students to acquire a strong work ethic.

Why is Cleveland County Schools special to you?
Cleveland County Schools is important to me because of the care and concern our system has for all of its stakeholders. Our system is not satisfied with the status quo but is always striving to improve.
