Marian Bradshaw, a third grade student in Mrs. Saldo’s room, was recognized as Grover’s Hero Award winner recently. Marian was born with a genetic heart defect that required her to have three open heart surgeries to reconstruct her heart. Marian is now able to lead a normal, healthy life. She is a hard working student who gives her best every day! We are proud of Marian and think she represents Grover in a great way!

Just wanted to remind you again that Grover is in the Cleveland County Kings Mountain Zone. When we have inclement weather and only sections of the county are affected, listen for Kings Mountain Zone for delays and closings. You should have already received and returned a letter asking about how your child should travel to your home on days such as this. Please let us know throughout the year if your plans change.

School Attendance
Student attendance is directly related to student learning! Please make sure that your child attends school daily unless he/she is sick. If your child has appointments during the day, bring him/her to school for whatever part of the day they can attend. A note explaining the absence should be sent to school within two school days of the child’s return to school. When a child accumulates 10 absences, a doctor’s note is required. For more details about the attendance policies please review pp. 18-21 in the Cleveland County Student Code of Conduct. Please feel free to call the school if you have questions concerning this policy.
